I made a rookie mom mistake this week. A couple days ago I awoke to find this in Q.'s bedroom...Her night light/outlet looked like it had caught fire in the night. I called the fire department and asked if I should stay home for the day and prepare for a house fire. But the fireman, who probably thought I was a lunatic, told me to call an electrician.
What was my mistake? Well, my mistake was not questioning Q. Last night while I was cleaning her room I found the remnants of a necklace hiding in her bookshelf. Q. put the necklace over the nightlight and caused the above damage. We had a long talk with her about putting things in the light socket. Luckily, she was not hurt. And next time I will question her first.

Oh no! I'm glad that she was okay! We have had our share of outlet episodes too, no fun! I LOVE your new family picture! Who did you have take them? Very cute:)
My sister took them--we got a lot of good ones. This is the one we're using for our adoption profile.
