We discovered a couple of days ago that our son, "little G.," possesses a super power. I got a call from the school nurse that G. had a fever of 100.5 and needed to be picked up from school. She also said because he had a fever over 100 degrees that he could not return to school the next day. So I picked him up and brought him home. I immediately took his temperature with our thermometer (I like to compare our thermometer to others) and low and behold the boy did not have a fever. I got out another thermometer and took it on that one-no fever. I kept taking his temperature over and over again and it was completely normal. I was supposed to help out at the school setting up for a teacher dinner towards the end of the day. Little boy was so worried he wouldn't find me after school that he worked himself up and got a fever. He was fine as soon as I brought him home and the next day too. He mentioned on Friday that it was too cloudy to go to the park. I told him that he didn't need to worry about that anyway because when you come home sick you are treated as such. So we now call G.- Fever boy. I have developed a super power of my own - not falling for this trick twice.
